email lists is a risky business
New laws governing email marketing mean that you must have the permission of
the recipients before you can send them email.
Get it wrong, and you'll be in trouble! |
We do
not recommend list purchase from outside vendors without first
ensuring that the addresses you are provided with really are
current addresses of people who are willing to be contacted.
Sending mass mailings to purchased lists
is spamming.
But there is hope. In reality, we find that most companies
have plenty of e-mail addresses already held on their own
PCs from customers or enquirers, and this is often enough
to
start effective
mailings.
